the cortado is a good place to start here. andersen & maillard sits on nørrebrogade, which is one of those long, busy streets in nørrebro that manages to hold both a lot of noise and a lot of quiet corners at once, and the café fits that rhythm. you're not walking into a place that's performing specialty coffee at you. the sourcing is taken seriously, the drinks are made carefully, and the whole thing feels like it has a point of view without needing to announce it. nørrebro has a genuine independent streak as a neighbourhood, and this place belongs to that. go back for filter on a slower afternoon.
