you're on us highway 2, which cuts straight through leavenworth with the cascades sitting hard on every side, and argonaut coffee & biscuits is right there on the strip at 220. this isn't a detour or an afterthought for people passing through on the way to stevens pass. the regulars who keep coming back have turned it into something more deliberate than that, a place with a clear point of view on what a cup of coffee should be. leavenworth gets a lot of foot traffic, a lot of tourists cycling through the bavarian-themed downtown a few minutes away, so finding somewhere that holds its own standard regardless of who walks in matters. if you're heading east on the 2, the biscuits are reason enough to stop before the mountain.
