arty caffé gets the coffee right. that sounds obvious, but in a stretch of paris as trafficked as the rue de rivoli, it isn't. this part of the first arrondissement pulls in an enormous number of people moving between the louvre and the tuileries, and most of the places along it are happy to coast on the footfall. arty caffé isn't. the regulars who keep coming back aren't doing so out of habit or convenience, they're doing so because the standard holds. if you're navigating that end of the first and need somewhere you can actually sit with a proper cup rather than a tourist-priced afterthought, this is the address. start with the espresso.
