if you're passing through asahikawa with a slow morning ahead of you, miyashita-dori isn't a bad street to lose an hour on. yoshinori coffee sits on the ground floor of hotel wing international, right at the asahikawa station end of things, which means you can walk here straight off the train without thinking too hard about it. that convenience could easily be a red flag, a sign of a place coasting on foot traffic, but the local standing here suggests otherwise. asahikawa has its own serious coffee culture, quieter than sapporo's but genuinely held, and a shop that's built a real reputation in this city has had to earn it from locals who know better. worth landing here for a morning coffee before whatever hokkaido day you have planned.
