their flat white hits different than most places you'll try around bath. maybe it's how they pull the shots, or maybe it's just that bath tcg doesn't compromise on anything they serve. the place sits on lower bristol road, which means you're not fighting tourist crowds for a decent table. you get the sense that everyone here knows exactly what they want. the regulars have figured out something worth protecting. order the cortado if you want to understand why people keep coming back. the milk work is clean, the coffee doesn't hide behind sweetness, and somehow it all makes sense at 7am or 3pm. this isn't about being trendy or making statements. just solid coffee done right. stick with the espresso-based drinks.
