slow mornings in the 3rd arrondissement have a particular rhythm, and rue saint-martin sits right in the middle of it, busy enough to feel alive but not so frantic that you can't think. bo&mie is well regarded locally, and that reputation tends to hold in places where the neighbourhood actually uses a spot rather than just tolerates it. paris has no shortage of cafes, obviously, but finding one where you're comfortable staying for two hours without feeling like dead weight is a different thing entirely. the address puts you close to the marais and beaubourg, so it slots neatly into a morning before the pompidou opens or an afternoon when you've run out of museum energy. a cortado here on a tuesday is a reasonable plan.
