you're on jl. mertanadi, a street in kerobokan kelod that runs quieter than the main seminyak drag, and braud sits right in the middle of it. this part of batu utara is the kind of place where you end up either because you live nearby or because someone pointed you here deliberately. the café has built a following that keeps coming back, which in a place as transient as seminyak says something about the consistency behind the counter. specialty coffee in bali has gotten serious over the past decade, and braud is part of that shift rather than coasting on it. if you're heading over from the seminyak side, go before noon, when the street is still cool and the foot traffic hasn't picked up yet.
