somewhere between stratford's older edges and the newer chobham manor housing, brevet parade doesn't draw much passing foot traffic, which probably suits the people who've already found bridget's just fine. this is a community centre café in the literal sense, planted at 1-3 brevet parade on honour lea avenue, and that grounding in a real neighbourhood gives it a different weight than somewhere trying to serve a lunchtime office crowd. you get the sense that the people here actually know each other, or at least know the routine. the regulars clearly feel strongly about it, and that kind of loyalty in a city where cafés open and close inside a season doesn't happen without something worth returning to. a flat white on a quiet weekday morning here is the move.
