accrington has a real coffee scene if you know where to look, and great harwood sits close enough to pull you in the right direction. brie mine on queen street is the kind of place that builds a following quietly, through consistency rather than noise. the regulars here aren't casual about it, which says plenty on its own. you don't end up that liked in a town like this by getting things half-right. great harwood isn't a place people pass through looking for a coffee stop, so the fact that brie mine draws people back, repeatedly, means it's doing something that holds up. queen street on a weekday morning is worth the detour.
