the cold brew here has a following for good reason. rue de la verrerie puts you deep in the marais, a few minutes from the centre pompidou, and brown sits in that pocket of the 4th arrondissement where the streets are narrow enough that you actually slow down. regulars come back, and they come back specifically, not just out of habit. if you're the kind of person who wants to sit somewhere without feeling rushed through it, this is a good address to know. the espresso pulls are taken seriously, and the flat white is a reliable order if you're not sure where to start. late morning on a weekday is probably your best window before the neighbourhood fills up.
