northampton's specialty coffee scene is quieter than you might expect from a town this size, which means the places that do take it seriously tend to get noticed fast. cafe track, sitting on market square at the heart of nn1, is one of those places. it's built a following that keeps coming back, not out of habit but out of preference, which in a town centre full of options says something. you don't land that kind of loyalty by accident. the location helps, market square is one of the more lived-in parts of central northampton, foot traffic from the daily market, people cutting through on errands. but location alone doesn't explain it. if you're in the area, go for a flat white on a weekday morning when the square is still settling into the day.
