Japan, 〒231-0002 Kanagawa, Yokohama, Naka Ward, Kaigandori, 1 Chome−1 海岸通 壱番館 2階
verified

kaguya sits above kaigandori street like it knows something the chains don't. those 137 reviewers giving it 4.5 stars aren't wrong. this isn't about fancy equipment or exotic beans you've never heard of. it's about someone who actually tastes their coffee before serving it to you. the regulars understand. they climb those stairs knowing their cup will taste like coffee, not burnt water with milk. there's a deliberateness here that starbucks can't replicate with a manual. each pour matters. each grind gets attention. yokohama has plenty of places to grab caffeine. fewer where you can taste the difference between tuesday's batch and thursday's. kaguya makes that difference matter. the steam rises just right. the ceramic warms your hands properly. sometimes simple things done well beat complicated things done poorly.
