good coffee in letchworth isn't always where you expect it. eastcheap is a quieter stretch, the kind of street you pass through rather than seek out, until you have a reason to stop. cherries and tea cafe, at 3-5 eastcheap, has become that reason for a lot of people in sg6. it's not trying to announce itself loudly. the regulars here are genuinely loyal, and that loyalty has built up over time without any obvious gimmick driving it. if you're in the area on a weekday morning, this is the kind of place that makes the whole day start on a better footing. come for the coffee, stay because the tea menu gives you somewhere to linger.
