Chris's Coffee & Custard in Roanoke, specialty coffee cafe

chris's coffee & custard on 9th street southeast knows what it's doing. the name tells you everything, this isn't just another coffee spot trying to be everything to everyone. they do coffee. they do custard. they do both exceptionally well. walk in and you'll smell the beans before you see the counter. that 4.9 rating from over 300 reviews doesn't happen by accident. it happens when someone cares enough to dial in each shot, to train their team properly, to remember that third thursday regular who always orders a double cortado. roanoke has plenty of places to grab caffeine. but chris's feels different. maybe it's the way they handle the espresso, patient, deliberate. maybe it's that custard element adding something sweet and unexpected to the mix. probably it's both. the kind of place that makes you understand why independent coffee shops still matter in a world full of green logos…
