cold brew is a solid starting point at coffee hound, and if that's your thing, bettendorf's summers give you good reason to lean into it. the shop sits on devils glen road, which is the kind of address that doesn't signal much from the outside, but coffee hound has built a real reputation in the quad cities area over time. locally, people seem to find their way back here, which counts for something. you don't need a lot of ceremony around a good cup, and this place doesn't offer any, in the best sense. the specialty side of the menu is worth your attention over the drive-through alternatives along that stretch of road. a well-pulled latte on a slow weekday morning on devils glen is a reasonable place to land.
