curista knows how to hold its own. sitting below taipei 101 on city hall road puts you in one of the most foot-trafficked corners of xinyi district, which means the pressure to coast on location alone is real. they don't. the b1 address tucks you slightly out of the main current, and that separation seems to matter, both physically and in terms of what they're focused on. specialty coffee in a building this famous could easily become an afterthought, a concession to convenience. here it's clearly the point. if you're moving through xinyi between meetings or after the observatory, it's a more considered stop than most of what surrounds it. come for the espresso-based drinks, specifically.
