good coffee in bogotá's northern reaches takes a little looking, and calle 122 is far enough from the tourist circuit that the people who end up at delipavo are generally there on purpose. that kind of self-selection does something to the atmosphere, even if you can't quite name it. the locals who return here, regularly, aren't doing it out of habit alone. you get the sense that this place has been tested, quietly, over time, and kept passing. whatever you order, do it before the mid-morning rush thins out and the light on that stretch of calle 122 starts its slow afternoon shift.
