medellín has one of the more interesting coffee cultures in south america, partly because the beans come from colombian antioquia farms nearby, and partly because the city has spent years developing a local café scene that goes well beyond export-grade commodity coffee. délmuri sits in laureles, on calle 39c, a neighborhood that moves at a different pace than el centro or poblado. quieter streets, more residents than tourists. the kind of place where a local café can build a real following without competing for foot traffic from backpackers. and délmuri has done exactly that, holding a solid local reputation that takes time to accumulate. if you're in laureles for the afternoon, it's a reasonable anchor for the day. start with a coffee, stay for something from the bakery side of the counter.
