something worth finding on north fifth street, which doesn't ask much of you except that you actually show up. designers collab. sits at the williamsburg edge where the neighborhood still feels like it's mid-negotiation between what it was and what it keeps becoming, and a coffee shop that holds its ground here without becoming a backdrop for something else is doing something right. the "collab." in the name isn't decorative, either. there's a collaborative sensibility baked into how this kind of place operates, a sense that the coffee is part of a larger conversation rather than the whole point. you can feel that in how locals actually use it. worth going on a weekday morning, when north fifth is quiet enough that the walk there is part of it.
