you know a place has something special when 209 people bother to leave google reviews, and most of them are glowing. di michele's barber & coffee on kirby road pulls off that rare thing: being genuinely good at two completely different services. the coffee here isn't an afterthought to the haircuts, and the barbering isn't just background noise to the espresso machine's hum. the 4.8-star rating tells part of the story, but not the whole one. what really matters is how the baristas pour each cup like it's going to someone they care about. that kind of attention shows up in the crema, in the temperature that's just right when you take that first sip. cromwell doesn't have endless specialty coffee options, which makes di michele's feel even more essential. you come for the precision, whether it's in your fade or your flat white.
