breakfast here is worth arriving early for. the brunch side of doree vino & cafe pulls in regulars on carrera 72 who clearly have a routine, and routines at a place this regarded don't form by accident. you can sit with a dessert and a coffee and feel no pressure to move on, which is rarer than it should be in medellín's busier corridors. the coffee is the anchor, but the food holds its own. locals in the laureles-estadio area know this block, and doree has become a natural part of how people use it, mornings especially. if you're plotting a day in the western side of the city, start it here with whatever's on the breakfast menu and a cup of something strong.
