you're on 4th avenue north, which means you're somewhere between the courthouse crowd and the convention center chaos, and that's a harder place to land a good coffee than it sounds. downtown nashville at street level runs hot on tourist bars and grab-and-go everything, so drug store coffee has carved out something quieter in that noise. locals have found it, which in this part of the city takes a little doing. you don't end up here by accident when you're visiting from out of town, you end up here because someone told you to. that's how the reputation actually works. if you've got a morning meeting on 4th or you're killing time before something at bridgestone arena, this is where to spend it.
