good coffee on wokingham road, in the stretch of reading that most people just drive through. earley cafe sits at 121 wokingham rd and has quietly built the kind of local reputation that doesn't need much explaining. you don't have to go far into the city centre to find something worth your time. the place is well regarded by the people who actually live around here, which tends to be the more honest measure anyway. independent, specific to its corner of rg6, and not trying to replicate something it saw in shoreditch. that counts for something. if you're in earley and the morning is getting away from you, this is the street you want to be on.
