el avion sits on a hillside above quepos, built inside a decommissioned 1954 fairchild c-123 cargo plane that was seized during the iran-contra affair. the fuselage frames the bar, and the wings extend over outdoor seating with views toward the pacific. the plane never made its original delivery. the coffee and the history arrived later.
