some places just get it right, and etcetera coffeehouse on north 6th street is one of them. walk in and you'll smell what 972 google reviewers already know, this isn't your corner chain pushing burnt beans and syrup. the baristas here pull shots that actually taste like coffee, not caffeine delivery systems. you can hear the difference in how the milk steams, see it in how they hand you your cup. paducah's coffee scene has plenty of options, but etcetera draws the kind of regulars who know good extraction when they taste it. that 4.8-star rating didn't happen by accident. it happened because someone here cares about the fundamentals, proper grind, consistent temperature, beans that haven't been sitting around since the pleistocene era. the kind of place where your cortado tastes like they made it for themselves.
