fax factory takes its coffee seriously. that's the whole thing, really. tucked into via antonio raimondi in the quartiere prenestino, a neighborhood that doesn't perform for tourists, this place has built a reputation the slow way, through consistency and the kind of attention that keeps people coming back. rome has no shortage of bars pulling espresso, but most of them are coasting on tradition rather than thinking about it. fax factory isn't doing that. if you're somewhere near the 00176 stretch of the city and you want a coffee that someone actually thought about, this is the address. mornings here are worth planning around.
