the flat white here gets talked about for a reason. armley isn't a neighbourhood that gets written up in food media much, but branch road has its quiet regulars, and florence café sits right in the middle of that everyday local rhythm. if you're in ls12 and want something that doesn't feel like it was designed by a committee, this is where you end up. the coffee is taken seriously without being precious about it, which is honestly the harder balance to strike. well regarded among people who actually live nearby, not just those passing through on a recommendation. worth timing your visit for a weekday morning when things are a little slower. the flat white, again, is the one to go for.
