you're on countisbury avenue, llanrumney, and if you didn't already know ford cafe was here, you might not expect it. that's part of the point. cf3 doesn't get the same attention as roath or canton when people talk about cardiff's coffee spots, but the locals here know what they've got. ford cafe has built the kind of following that takes consistency to earn, not marketing, and the people who come back keep coming back for a reason. it's the sort of place that fits into a neighbourhood rather than performing for it. if you find yourself out this way on a weekday morning, don't rush past it. get a flat white, stay a bit.
