you're on rue de turenne, deep in the third arrondissement, where the marais starts to loosen its tourist grip and becomes something closer to an actual neighborhood. fringe sits at number 106, and if you've been walking that stretch looking for somewhere to stop properly, this is it. the specialty coffee is the obvious draw, but the tea program is genuinely worth your attention too, which puts fringe in a smaller category than you'd expect in paris. everything on the menu leans organic and vegan-friendly, so if that matters to you, you won't have to interrogate the staff. it's also one of those places that works well when you're alone, no awkwardness about taking up a table for one. come for the coffee, consider the tea.
