ground up does independent specialty coffee properly, without apology. bury doesn't always come up in conversations about the uk's specialty scene, but market street has a case to make. regulars here aren't casual, they're the kind who notice when something's off, and the fact that they keep coming back says plenty. you won't find this level of consistency at every independent, let alone in a town centre. the focus stays narrow, the standards stay high, and that combination is harder to pull off than it looks. if you're passing through bl9 on a weekday morning, the flat white is where to start.
