victoria takes its coffee seriously, and the specialty scene here has grown dense enough that a shop has to actually be good to hold its place. habit coffee on pandora ave has held its. you'll find it at 552 pandora, in a part of downtown victoria that sits close enough to the inner harbour to catch foot traffic from all directions, but the locals who keep coming back aren't doing it for the location. the shop is well regarded in a city where that's genuinely hard to sustain, and that kind of standing doesn't come from coasting. if you're spending a morning in this part of the city, the flat white is a reasonable place to start.
