hando coffee bar takes its coffee seriously. that's not a caveat or a disclaimer, it's the whole point. you don't drive out to bailey road in manvel, pulling off from the outer edges of the houston metro, unless you already know that. this isn't a detour you stumble into. the regulars who keep coming back have figured out something real: that a specialty bar operating at this level, with this kind of consistent regard from the people who drink there most, doesn't sustain that reputation on convenience alone. manvel sits well south of the city, and hando sits right in it, doing the work. if you're making the trip on a weekday morning, go early.
