the flat white here has a following for good reason. walton street sits in the quieter part of chelsea, the kind of sw3 block where you're more likely to walk past a townhouse than a chain, and jak's fits that register without leaning into it. it's well regarded locally, which in this part of london means something, because the regulars have options and they keep coming back. nothing about the menu tries too hard. you get the sense that consistency is the actual priority, not novelty. if you're in the neighbourhood mid-morning, the flat white is where to start.
