somewhere along jl. pantai balangan, before the road drops toward balangan beach, jimmy beach cafe has built a following that holds up. uluwatu runs on surf schedules and sunsets, and a cafe that can keep pace with both without losing its footing is rarer than it sounds. you don't always find specialty coffee this far down the bukit peninsula, where most stops are built around the view and not much else. jimmy beach cafe seems to have figured out how to do both, which is why people keep coming back rather than just passing through. the location alone, close to the balangan coastline, puts it in a different category from the tourist-strip options closer to kuta. worth timing your visit for the morning, before the midday heat changes the whole calculation.
