you're on 15th ave nw, which is one of those seattle streets that keeps its own pace regardless of what the rest of the city is doing. ballard sits just south of here, crown hill to the north, and joie coffee lands somewhere in the middle of that stretch with the kind of quiet confidence that comes from actually knowing what it's doing. the people who find this place tend to keep coming back, and that's not nothing in a city where options are genuinely everywhere. you don't have to be a coffee obsessive to feel at home here, but if you are, you'll leave satisfied. worth the trip for a mid-morning coffee on a grey northwest tuesday.
