slow mornings work well here. if you're the kind of person who needs a couple of hours to actually think, wadsworth's high street isn't going to rush you, and neither is king's street cafe. it sits at 120 high st, which puts you close enough to the center of things without the noise that usually comes with that. the regulars who keep coming back aren't doing it out of habit alone, there's clearly something worth returning for. you don't build that kind of loyal following by being indifferent to what ends up in the cup. whatever you order, a cortado to get started or something slower to carry you through the afternoon, a weekday mid-morning is probably the window where this place is at its best.
