aalborg has a real coffee scene, quieter than copenhagen's but not coasting on it. koch's kaffebar on algade sits in the middle of the city's main pedestrian spine, which means foot traffic is constant, but regulars and newcomers alike seem to find their way back. this isn't a place trying to perform specialty coffee for an audience. the standing it's built locally comes from consistency, not spectacle. you don't need to know much going in, just that the sourcing and execution are taken seriously in the way that actually shows up in the cup. algade 23 is a practical address, central, easy to reach, and worth stopping at on a slow weekday morning when the street hasn't fully woken up yet.
