ubud has built a reputation that pulls coffee travelers from across southeast asia, and not all of it is deserved. a lot of what gets called specialty here is tourist-facing and thin. komorebi, though, sits on jl. sugriwa in the quieter residential grain of ubud, away from the main drag, and the people who find it tend to come back. the combination of onigiri and specialty coffee is a real one, not a gimmick, and if you're spending a morning in this part of gianyar, that pairing makes a lot of practical sense. the regulars are loyal in the particular way that only comes from a place doing something consistently right. start with the onigiri alongside whatever's pulling that day.
