a stretch of jl. raya seminyak that moves fast, tuk-tuks and scooters threading past surf shops and boutiques, and kréme sitting right in the middle of it on no. 50. that kind of location could easily become a tourist trap. it hasn't. the locals who keep coming back to this spot in kuta district aren't doing it out of habit alone, they're doing it because the coffee holds up. you don't stumble onto a place with this kind of standing by accident, someone is paying close attention to what ends up in the cup. seminyak runs on a certain energy, loud and sun-saturated, and kréme gives you a reason to slow down inside it, even briefly. worth arriving before the midday heat peaks and ordering whatever's pulling espresso that day.
