slow saturday mornings on crookes are built for this. the stretch of s10 that runs up toward the moor feels unhurried in a way the city centre doesn't, and lisboa fits that pace without trying to explain itself. it's the kind of place where you bring your laptop and end up staying longer than you planned, or where you stop in on the way back from walkley with no particular agenda. regulars here are genuinely devoted, which tends to mean the standards are kept honest. nothing coasts. the portuguese patisserie side of things gives you a reason to sit down rather than bolt, and on a grey sheffield morning, a pastel de nata alongside your first coffee of the day is a very good reason indeed.
