read the full visityou could walk straight past little julie's and never know. it sits just off portland road in notting hill, not on the main drag but a small step away from it, quiet enough to miss entirely. inside, it's the kind of cosy that actually means something, close and warm and unhurried. the coffee is good, solid, does what it should. but the patisserie is the real reason you cross town for this place. the pastries are exceptional in the way that makes you look down at your empty plate and immediately order something else, something you hadn't planned on, something flaky and ridiculous and worth every penny. a proper bakery-cafe hybrid. it doesn't announce itself, which means finding it feels like it counts for something.
