tea and coffee together, done seriously, is rarer than you'd think. most places treat one as an afterthought. majorstuen te & kaffe, on bogstadveien in oslo's majorstuen neighborhood, doesn't do that. bogstadveien is one of those streets that locals actually use, not a tourist corridor, which means the people who end up here are mostly people who chose to be here. that matters. the crowd tends to be regulars, and regulars in a place like this vote with their feet every single day. if you're coming from the frogner side or cutting through after vigelandsparken, it's a natural stop, and an easy one to return to. the kind of place you'll probably want a second cup before you've finished your first.
