masu does matcha seriously. not as a trend, not as a colour on a menu, but as a discipline. that matters on corso di porta ticinese, a street that moves fast and doesn't owe anyone a second look. the ticinese neighbourhood pulls a mixed crowd, locals and design-week visitors and students from the nearby università cattolica, and places that try to please all of them usually end up thin. masu doesn't do that. the focus is narrow and the regulars clearly feel it, returning with the kind of consistency that says more than any single visit could. if you're coming for the first time, come in the morning, when the matcha is the whole point and there's nothing else pulling your attention away from it.
