seminyak has more cafes per square meter than almost anywhere else in bali, which means most of them are competing loudly for the same tourist attention. matcha cafe bali, sitting on jl. pantai berawa in tibubeneng, takes a quieter position. the area around berawa is a little north of the main seminyak strip, closer to the beach road crowd than the shopping-street noise, and that distance from the center tends to attract people who are actually looking for somewhere to sit rather than somewhere to be seen. locally, it's well regarded, which in a neighborhood this saturated means something. if you're coming from the berawa stretch, it's worth treating this as a proper stop rather than a grab-and-go, especially for the matcha drinks that give the place its whole reason for existing.
