the flat white here is worth the trip down wrexham street on its own. mold doesn't have a huge specialty coffee scene, so when something lands well locally, people notice, and mel's has clearly done that. you won't find the kind of rotating single-origin fanfare that bigger city roasters lean into, but that's not the point. what you get is a cafe that takes its coffee seriously without making it a performance. if you're in the area, it sits right on wrexham st, easy to find, no hunting around. come mid-morning when the day hasn't fully taken hold yet. the flat white again, if you're asking.
