a farm shop with a cafe attached, out on wick lane, is either going to be an afterthought or the whole point. at middlewick, it's the whole point. glastonbury pulls in a lot of passing trade, people who've come for the tor or the festival site or just to wander, and it would be easy to coast on that. this place doesn't. the regulars who keep coming back aren't doing it out of habit or convenience, they're doing it because the coffee holds up to scrutiny. you don't have to be deep into specialty coffee to feel the difference between something made with attention and something made to fill a cup. wick lane is a quieter approach to town, and there's something right about ending up here with a flat white before the day gets away from you.
