one of the better arguments for slowing down in bath. abbey churchyard puts you right at the gravitational centre of the city, tourists pulling in every direction, the roman baths practically breathing down your neck, and mokoko sits there as a place that locals actually use rather than stumble into by accident. that matters more than it sounds. you're not going to find a quieter corner easily on a busy saturday, but the coffee is the reason people come back rather than just come in. independent, well regarded, and genuinely part of the fabric of this particular stretch of ba1. if you're doing abbey churchyard anyway, a flat white here before the crowds fully arrive is the right call.
