hanoi takes its coffee seriously in a way that most cities just don't. the city runs on cà phê trứng and drip filters and decades of ritual, so a specialty shop here isn't filling a gap so much as adding its own layer to something already thick with history. mórri, on hàng vôi in hoàn kiếm, sits in that context and holds its own. the french quarter streets around it are busy in the particular way of old hanoi, and you'll find the café pulling a crowd that clearly comes back. the standing it has built among regulars isn't loud about it, which is often the more reliable kind. if you're in hoàn kiếm and want somewhere that treats the cup as the point, hàng vôi is where to go.
