the kind of place that pulls you off wimborne road before you've quite decided to stop. moordown isn't a neighbourhood that gets written about much, which is probably part of why nan's place has built the following it has, quietly and on its own terms. the regulars here aren't casual, they're consistent, and that kind of loyalty in a local coffee shop doesn't come from convenience alone. you don't keep coming back to somewhere on the bh9 stretch unless it's actually giving you something worth returning for. the coffee is taken seriously without the atmosphere that sometimes comes with that seriousness in more self-conscious spots. a good place to know about if you're anywhere near the northern end of bournemouth, especially on a weekday morning when wimborne road is still finding its pace.
