napoli coffee sits on menaul boulevard like it's been there forever, though you know it hasn't. the kind of place where your third visit feels like your thirtieth. 4.6 stars from over 600 reviewers doesn't happen by accident. it happens when someone cares about the temperature of milk foam and remembers how you take your cortado. this isn't another corporate coffee experience with laminated menus and scripted greetings. the espresso here has weight to it. substance. you can taste the difference between rushed extraction and patient brewing. solo workers camp out with laptops, but the space never feels antiseptic or hurried. breakfast flows into brunch without anyone checking their watch. the tea selection surprises people who assume coffee shops phone in everything else. they don't here. albuquerque has plenty of places to grab caffeine. fewer places to actually enjoy it.
